Saints practice at Iceland's national stadium
Wednesday 01 July 2009
THE New Saints trained in the Icelandic National Stadium in Reykjavik on Wednesday night ahead of their Europa League first qualifying round first leg tie against Fram.
The squad is in good heart after arriving in Iceland on Tuesday and spent Wednesday morning relaxing at the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa half an hour's drive from the team hotel.
There are few injury worries for physio Sian Griffiths and all the players were able to put in a full hour on the pitch.
Fram expect a crowd of only 500 to attend the game, as there are four First Division matches being played concurrently with the European tie, one of which is being screened live on Icelandic television.
