TOMMY Holmes became the second player to be sent-off in eight days as The New Saints crashed to a 2-1 defeat at Llanelli's Stebonheath Park.

In a closely-contested and sometimes fiery encounter, Tosh got his marching orders on 37 minutes after retaliating to a very late lunge from Reds' midfielder Chris Venables.
Already incensed that an earliern challenge from Wyn Thomas had gone unpunished, several TNS players became involved in a mass brawl before Holmes was red-carded by referee Mark Whitby.
The Saints had gone a goal down minutes earlier when a long clearance downfield from keeper Craig Richards was farmed inside by Jordan Follows to Rhys Griffiths, who hammered an 18-yarder past Paul Harrison.
The Reds quickly forged further ahead after the dismissal when a Wyn Thomas right-wing cross found Owain Warlow unmarked at the far post and the ex-Lincoln City wingman netted from 10 yards.
TNS hit back immediately with a well-taken Alex Darlington goal from a Barry Hogan cross to give themselves hope for a second-half revival.
Matty Williams went close and sub Matthew Berkeley almost levelled only to be denied by keeper Richards, who was lucky to still be on the field after a chest-high challenge on Williams in the first-half.
To add to the Saints' woes and a growing injury list, wingman Craig Jones hobbled off midway through the second period with what looked like a hamstring strain.
