OFFICIALS from Northern Ireland will take charge of The New Saints' Welsh Premier live televised fixture against Llanelli on Saturday.
Man in the middle will be Ray Hetherington from Dungannon in Northern Ireland who, along with his assistants, Denis O’Connor and Malcolm Boyd who are both from Belfast, is officiating as part of the FAW’s referee exchange programme with the other home nations.
All three of the officials are currently on the UEFA CORE programme, which is for talented young referees who have potential to become FIFA officials in the future.
Three Welsh Premier League officials are visiting Northern Ireland this weekend to take charge of the Glenavon v Portadown fixture in the IFA Carling Premiership.
Last season the match between Prestatyn Town and Port Talbot Town had Ulsterman Mervyn Smith in charge and his compatriot Trevor Moutray officiated the Rhyl v Carmarthen Town match in October 2008.
