Davies targets another three points

Mike Davies

THE New Saints are looking to extend a run of 10 wins from their last 11 games when third-placed Llanelli visit Park Hall on Saturday (3.45pm).

Director of football Mike Davies is delighted with the recent run of form after a slow start.
"It's great, credit has got to go to the lads, they've worked hard and trained really well and we're taking the training onto the pitch which is what it's all about," he told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"Llanelli are definitely going to be up there at the end of the season, they've got a great squad and Andy Legg has done a great job with them, so we're under no illusions it's going to be a very difficult task.
"We're at home, which is good, but if we can get three points it will be fantastic result."
Davies says the run to the Welsh Premier summit is about getting the basics right, training well and having cover in every position.
"The competition for places in the squad is fierce, we've got such a great group of lads, every single on of them wants to play.
"Credit has to go to the squad, they do all the hard work and it just goes to show how they are doing that we are top of the league and winning games.
"There's great potential there, I think a lot of the players could play in the English system, Sharpy's left us for Telford and done very well there but I still think we've got a lot of players who could play a lot higher, even in League Two."
Matty Williams returned to the side as a substitute in the 2-0 away win at Prestatyn on Friday and Davies added: "Matty's fine he's training well and he's just a credit to work with, he's top goal scorer but that's the strenth in the squad, he was fit last week and couldn't get in the starting 11
"We pick up a few knocks here and there but there's always someone ready to step in and do their bit for the team."
