Saints bid to hit the ground running at Aber

TNS v Aberystwyth

VICTORY at Aberystwyth's Park Avenue in Saturday's live TV game is essential to keep TNS on track for the Welsh Premier summit.

But first team coach Carl Darlington is well aware that it won't be easy against a home side that is battling to get away from the relegation zone.
"We have to make sure we're right mentally as playing the lower league teams who are fighting relegation can be some of the hardest games," Darlington says.
"We certainly won't be taking anything for granted - Newtown beat Bangor the other week which shows what can happen - and we will have prepared properly.
"The good thing about this squad is that we've got a lot of competition for places and players can't afford to be complacent.
"Last week our performance against Bryntirion was spot on, we hit the ground running and we need that kind of performance again."
Striker Matty Williams is doubtful after being forced off last Saturday, but Chris Marriott is back from suspension.
Meanwhile, Aber boss Alan Morgan says his players need to recover their self-belief.
"The lads have been short on confidence, but that improved on Saturday, they have put in a good shift, but we are looking forward to playing TNS on Saturday," Morgan said.
"I still think we can give anybody a game and, as long as we make sure we are up for it and battle well, there is no reason why we cannot win matches."
With the match being televised live, with a later kick-off time of 3.45pm, prices will be reduced to £5 for adults, £3 for OAPs, £1 for Under 16s.
