Lawless, who scored eight goals from 22 Welsh Premier appearances, scored the winning TNS goal in the 2005 Welsh Cup final against Carmarthen.
He was released "by mutual consent" from Marine on Tuesday and faces disciplinary action from the English FA after taunting the crowd at Gigg Lane, Bury, during a Unibond League match against FC United of Manchester.
Lawless was seen to wave his arms to make an aeroplane gesture in an apparent reference to the Munich air disaster in 1958 and received a police warning at half-time. Officers from Greater Manchester Police told Lawless and his teammate Shaun Tuck that they would be arrested if they continued to offend supporters.
Morgan was more of a damp squib than a rocket during his time with the Saints. The striker scored a remarkable 180 goals in four seasons as he fired the Birkenhead club up the English pyramid was plagued by a back injury and made just two sub appearances in the league before his release last year.
