RELEASED by the management at the end of the season, midfielder John Leah is the only TNS player to be named in the Welsh Premier's team of the season.Leah says he is delighted to be selected by the 18 league managers for the second year running as he looks to continue his playing career.
Already the target for several Welsh Premier clubs, the 31-year-old also says he would not rule out going into the English non-league pyramid if the right offer came along.
Steve Evans, who played less than half a season, and Scott Ruscoe are selected on the subtitute's bench in the league's annual 'dream team'.
Other Saints' players to feature prominently in the voting were defender Tommy Holmes (four votes), keeper Paul Harrison (two votes), Alex Darlington, Duane Courtney, Michael Wilde and Jamie Wood, who all received one nomination each.
The team of the season is: Lee Idzi (Haverfordwest); Craig Williams (Newtown), George Horan (Rhyl), Stuart Jones (Llanelli), Andy Legg (Llanelli); Craig Jones (Rhyl), Gareth Owen (Rhyl), John Leah (TNS), Sion Edwards (Bangor City); Rhys Griffiths (Llanelli), Neil Roberts (Rhyl).
Andy Cale and Mike Davies picked: Chris Maxwell (CQN); Marc Connolly (RHL), George Horan (RHL), Wyn Thomas (LLA), Chris Marriott (NCD); Craig Jones (RHL), Gareth Owen (RHL), Chris Seargeant (BAN), Stuart Roberts (CAR); Neil Roberts (RHL), Rhys Griffiths (LLA).
