THE New Saints have made a third significant signing of the summer with the arrival of Chris Seargeant from Bangor City.
Man of the match in City's recent Welsh Cup final success, the 22-year-old is the son of ex-Everton player Steve Seargeant and a former Goodison youth and reserve teamer who never made a first-team appearance, but did make the bench when the Premiership giants travelled to Villarreal for a Champions League qualifier at the start of season 2005/6.Seargeant, who is a dead ball specialist, joined Connah's Quay Nomads in September 2006 and then followed Nev Powell, his manager on Deeside, when moving to Bangor City in the summer of 2007.
He has scored 17 goals from 74 Welsh Premier appearances to date.
"Chris is another quality signing for the club following the arrival of Chris Marriott and Craig Jones," says TNS general manager Ian Williams.
TNS have also awarded a pro contract to talented young defender Sean Jones, who becomes the sixth player to graduate from the club's scholarship scheme to the Welsh Premier in the past two years.
