STALWART midfielder Scott Ruscoe has committed to his ninth season with The New Saints.
The former Newtown and Chester City man returned to training this week following a holiday in Thailand and signed forms to remain at Park Hall until May 2010.Ruscoe made 92 Welsh Premier appearances for Newtown before joining Chester in the summer of 2000.
He switched back to the domestic league with TNS in January 2002, earned a call-up to the Welsh semi-professional side that won the Four Nations trophy in 2004 and was named as a member of the league's dream team in 2004/5 and 2005/6.
He has scored 40 goals for the Saints in 219 (+9) appearances and has won three Welsh Premier title medals, as well as appearing in the sides that won the Welsh Cup, FAW Premier Cup and two League Cups.
Ruscoe has also appeared 16 times in European competition, a total surpassed only by Gary Lloyd and Andrew York.
