THE New Saints have made their second close-season capture this week with the signature of promising Caersws youngster Aeron Edwards.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is a nephew of Arwel Jones, who made 97 league appearances for Llansantffraid and TNS between 1995 and 2000, and a product of Buckley Town's youth set-up who followed his former manager Dave Taylor to the Caersws Recreation Ground in 2007.Edwards has since been virtually ever-present for the Bluebirds in the Welsh Premier, making 63 appearances and was voted the supporters' and players' player of the season in 2007/8.
He was put on stand-by for the Wales Under-23 semi-professional squad in November 2007 after also impressing then Welsh boss Tony Pennock.
"Aeron has impressed us in pre-season training and we are sure he will be yet another valuable addition to our squad," says TNS assistant boss Mike Davies.
