PARK Hall is ready for The New Saints to play their first-ever European tie on their own ground, following the installation of 1,000 seats earlier this week.
The club has now received the green light to host the Europa League first qualifying round tie which will take place on either July 2 or 9.Club officials Mike Harris and Ian Willams fly-out to Uefa headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland this weekend and the first round opponents will be known following Monday's draw.
The Saints could be paired with any one of 23 seeded clubs in a draw which is not geographically-grouped like the new competition's predecessor, the Uefa Cup.
Awaiting the club are Rosenborg BK (NOR), Anorthosis Famagusta (CYP), Helsingborg IF (SWE), Motherwell (SCO), Randers FC (DEN), Polonia Warsaw (POL), Bnei Yehuda (ISR), Spartak Trnava (SVK), Slaven Koprivnica (CRO), FC Lahti (FIN), Vetra Vilnius (LIT), Sligo Rovers (IRL), Dinaburg Daugavpils (LAT), Rudar Velenje (SLO), Dinamo Minsk (BLS), MTZ-Ripo Minsk (BLS), Siroki Brijeg (BOS), Haladas Szombathely (HUN), Olimpi Rustavi (GEO), FC Zestafoni (GEO), Zimbru Chisinau (MOL), Keflavik (ISL) , Fram Reykjavik (ISL).
TNS met Polonia Warsaw in the 2001/2 Uefa Cup and have also travelled previously to Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden, as well as Liverpool and Manchester for the ties against Premier League opposition.
The club has previously played home ties at Cardiff, Newtown and Wrexham.
