Wednesday 29 July 2009
FORMER TNS defender Rob Williams has completed a move to Altrincham in the Blue Square Premier.
A product of the TNS scholarship scheme, Williams made 34 (+10) Welsh Premier appearances for the Saints and in loan spells at Newtown and Caersws before being released at the end of the last season.
He is re-united at Moss Lane with his former manager Ken McKenna, who is now assistant to Alty boss Graham Heathcote.
Also in the squad at the Cheshire outfit if ex-TNS goalkeeper Richard Acton, who joined TNS towards end of 2003/4 before joining Bangor.
Acton, who has also played for Manchester City, Hyde United, Runcorn and Woodley Sports, made a brief return to TNS colours after being named on the bench for the Champions League ties with Liverpool.
