A CELEBRITY charity football match in memory of an Oswestry man will be held at Park Hall in September and Newtown boss Darren Ryan has agreed to manage one of the teams.
Movie actor Danny Dyer and Hollyoaks favourites Chris Fountain and Ricky Whittle will be among the star-studded celebrity team The London FC who will take on The Craig Williams XI on September 13 in aid of The Craig Williams Memorial Fund.The Craig Williams XI will be made up of friends of the 22-year-old who died in Kos four years ago.
Fund spokesman Graeme Sutton said organisers were delighted a deal had been agreed with The New Saints to use their stadium at Park Hall for the game.
He said: “It will be a great venue for us and hopefully people will come along and watch the game. “We are also delighted that Newtown FC’s manager Darren Ryan has agreed to be the Craig Williams XI team manager. Tickets will be on sale soon for the game.”
