Friday 14 August 2009
CRAIG 'Snakey' Whitfield has gone out on loan to Elements Cefn Druids to gain more first-team experience in the Welsh Premier.
Craig, who turns 20 on Sunday, is a pacy striker who spent three years on the TNS Scholarship Scheme after previous experience with Wrexham and Shrewsbury Town.
After playing regularly with the reserves, he was awarded a junior pro contract before the start of season 2008/9 and has started three times in league matches, with 15 appearances on the bench.
Snakey scored on the 8-0 demolition of Carmarthen Town last season - the Saints' record-breaking Welsh Premier win - and also in the league against Welshpool on Boxing Day.
He is expected to go straight into the Ancients' squad for the visit of Port Talbot Town to Plas Kynaston on Saturday.
