Ladies' double over the Swans

TNS Ladies travelled to Borth on Saturday where they had an evening training session on the sand dunes, before the girls camped overnight before meeting Swansea City first and second teams the following day.
The first team won 3-0 with goals from defender turned striker Abby Francis, who ran the Swans' back-four ragged throughout the game, winger Kim Bebbington and an own goal.
Alicia Robinson flicked-on a superb Sally Jones corner to set-up Bebbington for the second and Courtnie Cassidy had a hand in the third with City's keeper carrying her wicked right-wing cross over the line.
A very good work out against an ultra-competetive side who battled from start to finish without really hurting the TNS defence.
With a team mainly comprising 16-year-olds, the seconds were also successful, winning 1-0 with a Meg Lloyd goal.
With TNS not starting their league programme until September 13, they continue pre-season preparations with a home game against Llanidloes on Sunday August 23 at Park Hall with a one o'clock kick-off, all support welcome.
