Saints bid to end Airbus record

RESTED from the starting line-up for the midweek 2-0 League Cup win at Bangor City, several players are likely to return as first choice when The New Saints bid to maintain their 100% record in all competitions this season at home to Airbus UK Broughton.
Scott Ruscoe, Craig Jones and Matthew Berkeley all made substitute appearances at Farrar Road, while Steve Evans played no part and, despite the encouraging performances by their deputies, should all figure on the team-sheet.The Wingmakers are undefeated so far, with league draws away to Llanelli and home to Rhyl, and manager Craig Harrison is confident his side has got what it takes to retain that record after the final leg of their matches against the Welsh Premier's 'big three'.
"I would take being unbeaten going in to the match with Aberystwyth," he says.
"We know how TNS will play the game, they are great on the ball and I can’t understand why they haven't scored more goals than they have this season.
"It will be a different kind of challenge against TNS because they like to play football until the end. Even against the likes of Rhyl and Llanelli they play until the end.
"When we played both of those teams and they were getting beat we were bombarded with more physical play and more direct balls, I don’t think we'll face that."
Harrison has a couple of injury concerns ahead of the weekend with Paul McManus, Jack Abraham, and James McIntosh all doubts.
