THE New Saints teamed-up with West Mercia Police and pupils from Rhyn Park School to host a six-a-side challenge prior to Friday night's game against Cefn Druids.
"The initiative was part of the our continued effort to raise our profile in the local community and at the same time provide football opportunities for all types of groups," commented general manager Ian Williams.
"Following the success of the pilot scheme, we hope to organise a weekly six-a-side league with local youngsters from Rhyn Park School.
"We are due to meet with PE staff from the school and the local Community Support Officers from West Mercia Police to kick start the programme."
