Bluebirds buoyed by Rhyl win
Bluebirds buoyed by Rhyl win

A HAVERFORDWEST County side buoyed by last weekend's surprise victory at Rhyl are the next Welsh Premier opponents for The New Saints.
TNS travel to the New Bridge Meadow on Saturday to face an inconsistent Bluebirds' outfit that, nevertheless, ended a 10-year hoodoo with a 2-1 win at Belle Vue.
"County showed at Rhyl that they can compete against the very top sides so we must be ready for a battle," says assistant manager Mike Davies, who has several injury problems to resolve.
Midfielder John McKenna is the most notable, but Alex Darlington is also struggling.
Only a late John Toner goal salvaged a 2-2 draw for the Saints on their last trip to the Meadow, but they won the previous season's encounter 4-0.
And, overall, the venue has been a happy hunting ground for TNS with six wins and five draws from their 13 visits.
The Saints also take a clean sheet lasting 716 minutes into the clash, with the meanest defence in the league conceding just seven goals so far.
