STEVE Evans has been voted the Welsh Premier League's player of the month for December.

The 30-year-old ex-Wales international was given the star man award in The New Saints' games against Haverfordwest, Porthmadog and Prestatyn Town, where his superb late volley clinched the spoils five minutes from time.
Steve has also been a pivotal figure at the heart of a TNS defence which has not conceded a goal from open play since October 27 - 1,166 minutes!
Capped seven times by his country while with Wrexham, Evans returned to Park Hall almost a year ago and has now made 168 league starts in a Saints' shirt.
