Darlington wins first Welsh call-up
Monday 15 February 2010
FIVE goals in nine games since returning from pre-season injury have earned Saints' striker Alex Darlington a Wales Under-23 semi-professional call-up.
And manager Terry Boyle has also turned to former TNS defender Rob Williams, discarded in the summer but now a regular in the Altrincham back-line.
Darlington, 21, has impressed in recent weeks and came off the bench on Sunday to hit the Saints' winner against Bangor City.
He will link-up in the Wales squad for a March visit to Portugal with Williams and current team-mates Aeron Edwards and Craig Jones, who are both named again in the squad.
