THWARTED in a bid to land ex-TNS striker Michael Wilde, Colwyn Bay manager Neil Young has persuaded former Saints' wing-back Chris King to join the Unibond League Division One play-off bid at Llanelian Road.

The Bay boss thought his team building had hit a brick wall on Friday when Fleetwood Town frontman Wilde opted for a loan spell with Halifax.
But he was delighted when King agreed to sign after being released by Accrington Stanley at the turn of the year.
The 29-year-old son of former Tranmere and Bangor City player Alan King, Chris joined TNS from Southport in the summer of 2002 and was first-choice at left back, winning a place in the Welsh Premier's dream teams for seasons 2006/7 and 2007/8.
He appeared in both legs of the Champions League ties with Liverpool and in Europe on six other occasions, scoring nine goals from a total of 128 (+14) Welsh Premier appearances with the Saints.
"He is still very quick and gives us another dimension going forward - plus he is experienced which is what you need at this level, Bay boss Young told the North Wales Weekly News.
King will stay with the Seagulls until the end of the season.
