CRAIG Jones was delighted to end his personal goal drought by scoring The New Saints' winner in a crucial 1-0 home win over Welsh Premier title rivals Llanelli.
The wingman went back to the top of the Saints' goal scorers list by toe-poking home Matthew Berkeley's incisive pass on 66 minutes, his first goal since scoring in the 4-0 home win over Aberystwyth on December 11.
The Saints have won all seven games in which Jones has found the target this season and he said: "It was nice to get on the score sheet - it's probably overdue from my point of view as I haven't scored for a few weeks, so to keep it for this game I'm made up with it.
"The win was vital to put us seven points clear at the top - we've got five games left now, they've got the games in hand on us but we'll see what they've got."
Asked what the tactics were for Sunday's game, Jones added: "Just play as we have been - it's always been about us, not what other teams are going to do.
"Play the way we've been playing and the results will go for us as it has done today.
"We're just going to take each game as it comes until the end of the season and hopefully it will be enough."
