FORMER TNS defender Michael Jackson will hold talks with UniBond League Premier Division club Marine over a new deal by the end of next week.
The 30-year-old, who spent two seasons with the Saints, will sit down with manager Kevin Lynch over a fresh deal with the Arriva Stadium side.
“Michael is away on holiday until the middle of next week at which point we’ll sit down with him. I’m sure Michael can see what we are doing here and can understand the club’s status and fan base we are generating," says Lynch.
Jacko signed for Rhyl from Southport in summer 2001 and played a part in the title success in 2003/4, before joining Welshpool Town.
He joined TNS at the end of March 2005 and improved his game during an extended first-team run, leading to a new contract for 2006/7, and making 47 (+3) Welsh Premier appearances in green and white.
He announced he was leaving the club in April 2007 to join Icelandic First Division oufit Prottur and has since also spent time at Caernarfon Town.
