FORMER TNS defender Duane Courtney has signed for Blue Square Premier outfit York City.
Courtney, 25, has moved to Bootham Crescent from Kidderminster Harriers and manager Martin Foyle said: "Duane's exciting. He's got the energy to get forward and hopefully he'll be a good addition to the squad."
An apprentice at Birmingham City before moving to Telford, where he was voted player of the season, and then Burnley in the Championship, Courtney joined the Saints after his release from Turf Moor in May 2006 and made 66 Welsh Premier appearances over three seasons, scoring four goals.
He was released by TNS along with his former team mate at Telford Alfie Carter and joined the Harriers.
"I've had a taste of playing in the Championship and I want a taste of playing in it again and I think with the way Martin wants the team to play and what he wants out of the club, that's what I want and that's what brought me here," Courtney said.
