FORMER TNS frontman Alfie Carter has signed for Southern League Premier Division outfit Hednesford Town.
The 29-year-old spent last season impressing as a left back with Worcester City after a spell in the USA.
Carter was attracting the interest of several clubs but has signed a one-year deal with the Pitmen.
After starting his career at Walsall, Carter joined Telford United from Halesowen Town in August 2004 before joining the Saints.
In an injury-strewn four seasons he scored 27 goals from 47 (+19) Welsh Premier appearances before being released towards the end of season 2008/9.
