Lewis returns to action against Kansas
Lewis returns to action against Kansas
Thursday 05 August 2010
THE New Saints Under-14s recently had the privilege of entertaining a touring team from Kansas USA.
The American team, staying in Chester, came for a match at Park Hall on a drab summer's evening and were warmly welcomed by the TNS players.
It was an especially important evening for one young player from TNS, Lewis Storey, who had only recently had an horrific car crash in Acrefair Wrexham.
He then spent time in Alder Hey Hospital Liverpool, and was visited by first-team boss Mike Davies and academy manager Mike Digwood during his recuperation.
Lewis has made an incredible recovery and is close to returning to his best.
He captained the side for the first game of the new season - a thoroughly enjoyable one - despite the visitors going away with a 1-0 win.
We all wish Lewis the very best as he furthers his recovery.
