Darlington wins another Welsh cap
Wednesday 15 September 2010
ALEX Darlington won another Welsh Cap as the Under-23 semi pros battled back for a 2-2 draw against old enemy England at Newtown's Latham Park.
The Saints' midfielder was named in the starting line-up by Welsh boss Terry Boyle as Wales fell behind to first-half strikes from Kyle McFadzean and Alex Rodman.
Watched by his TNS and Wales team-mates Aeron Edwards and Craig Jones, who both missed-out through injury, Darlington was replaced in the second half as Boyle used all his substitutes in preparation for the International Challenge Trophy game against Poland next month.
And, in the final minutes, goals from subs Craig Moses and Lee Surman snatched a draw for the hosts.
