Sharp ready for return to action

Chris Sharp

CHRIS Sharp is ready to return to the fray for The New Saints in Friday night's tricky trip to face Airbus UK Broughton.

The striker, who is the league's joint leading scorer with four from two, has completed a two-match ban following his dismissal against Bala Town and could be named in the starting line-up at The Airfield.
But manager Mike Davies is spoilt for choice, with Alex Darlington also in a rich vein of scoring form with four goals to his name from two starting appearances and two as sub.
Defenders Phil Baker and Tommy Holmes remain sidelined through injury and suspension respectively, but midfield duo Aeron Edwards and Craig Jones are back in training, although tonight's game may come too early for either to play a part.
The Airfield has not been a happy hunting ground in recent seasons, with a 0-0 draw in February preceded by 1-0 and 2-0 defeats in the previous two seasons.
And the Wingmakers will be anxious to resume their bid for a high finish after their three-game winning streak was ended in emphatic fashion by Bangor City last weekend, who thumped their visitors 5-1 at Farrar Road.
