Davies can't hide his frustration

SAINTS' boss Mike Davies could not hide his frustration after a late and controversial penalty denied his side a victory at Airbus UK Broughton on Friday night.
Referee Kevin Parry awarded the Wingmakers a hotly-disputed spot kick on the advice of a linesman and Davies bemoaned: "The referee’s killed us, it was a shocking performance, I’m very disappointed and it’s cost us again.
"I just don’t think it was a penalty - the lads are adamant it wasn't - and not just that, but a whole host of decisions right through the game.
"The league’s getting a lot better but the refs need to take some responsibility as well.
"I know a lot of the refs and get on with a lot of them as well but they keep costing us and costing us.
"Anyone who knows me I'm not one to complain normally but I'm just very disappointed.
"Credit to Airbus, they play football really well and Craig (Harrison) to get them as organised as he has done, but we dominated the game and I can't justify anything to the lads, what can you say to them?"
Home boss Craig Harrison admitted he did not see the penalty incident: “I’m sure we’ll have a few this season that I won’t agree with and I’m sure Mike will get a few lucky ones as well.
“TNS are a fantastic team – we had a plan and let it slip a bit. Did we deserve a goal? Maybe we did for effort.”
