Saints' duo return to Welsh colours

Edwards and JonesAERON Edwards and Craig Jones have been recalled to the Welsh semi-professional squad for the International Challenge Trophy tie with Poland in two weeks' time.

The New Saints' midfield due missed the friendly clash with England at Newtown earlier month through injury, but Jones has already returned to action from a hamstring strain, and Edwards is now ready for his first-team comeback after a long spell in the sidelines.
Alex Darlington, who started in the 2-2 draw against the Three Lions, retains his place in the squad, while manager Terry Boyle has again named former Saints' defender Rob Williams, now with Blue Square Premier outfit Altrincham.
The final tie of the International Challenge Trophy group at The Airfield on Tuesday 13 October (7.30) is now a dead rubber, after Northern Ireland beat Estonia in Tallinn on Tuesday.
Wales cannot qualify for the latter stages after a 2-2 draw in Belfast and a 7-2 away defeat to Portugal, so several members of Boyle's squad will be making their swansong in Welsh colours after reaching the maximum age for the Under-23 side.
