Joining Saints a no-brainer for hat-trick hero Richie

SUNDAY'S hat-trick hero Richie Partridge has now scored five goals in five Welsh Premier starts and says joining The New Saints was a "no-brainer".
The 29-year-old former Liverpool trainee, who made 154 Football League appearances, is proving to be an inspired signing for manager Mike Davies.
Even brother-in-law and Manchester United frontman Michael Owen must have been impressed by the Dubliner's finishing as he watched on from the sidelines at Park Hall.
Partridge took advantage of some superb service from wingman Craig Jones to spearhead the 5-0 destruction of Aberystwyth, who haven't won in 19 visits to the Saints.
"It was a no-brainer coming here," Partridge told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"The standard of the football is good, and the manager is a good coach."
Partridge started his career at Liverpool in the same youth team as Owen and joined TNS from Stockport County - his eighth club.
