THE New Saints youth progressed to the fourth round of the FAW Youth Cup with a penalty shoot-out victory over Neath at Park Hall on Sunday.
Scott Quigley and Marcus Ashley scored for TNS, with Liam Thomas and Joe Phillips replying for the Eagles as the game finished 2-2 at the end of normal time.
A brace from Charlie Proctor in extra-time appeared to have sealed a home win, but Joe Jones and Luke Cummings scored in the 116th and 119th minutes respectively to force the penalty shootout, which the Saints won 4-2.
