MANAGER Mike Davies is wary of the threat from Neath as well as trying to play catch-up with leaders Bangor City on Tuesday night.
The New Saints face Bangor City at Park Hall (7.45), 10 points adrift of the once-runaway leaders, but a victory would raise the prospect of closing the gap to just one point if Saints can also win their two games in hand.
But Davies told BBC Radio Shropshire: "There's a long way to go, as well as Bangor we've got to keep an eye on Neath.
"We can't get carried away looking at the league table."
Bangor have won 18 out of their 21 league games under manager Neville Powell, a record which impresses Davies.
"Credit to them with what they've achieved, they've already broken a few records and left us with a big task to chase them.
"I think they'll miss striker Jamie Reed, who's gone to York, but they've got a lot of talented players in their squad and a very good team spirit, they're an impressive outfit," Davies added.
"But we have a very good squad here as well and I think it will be a good competitive game."
The New Saints kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 4-1 win at Haverfordwest on Saturday, while City won with a last-gasp Craig Garside goal at Newtown.
