Club seeks volunteers for new roles

The New SaintsAS current Welsh Premier champions, The New Saints Football Club of Oswestry Town and Llansantffraid is encouraging local football followers to be part of the club by applying for a number of volunteer roles.

All roles are voluntary and therefore do not carry any remuneration so are best suited to people who can offer commitment and time and who have a real passion for football in Oswestry.

Supporter Liaison Officer
This is a new role and forms part of the UEFA and FAW Licence criteria. The person appointed will be a key contact for the club’s supporters, be able to collaborate with the club’s head of security on safety and security matters and have regular contact with the club’s Board of Directors and organise and co-ordinate away travel for supporters.

Community Development Officer
You will be responsible for developing existing links between the club, its academy, local junior teams, schools and other community groups, encouraging participation and attendance by all parties at home games, the organisation of matchday ballboys and mascots as well as organising awareness campaigns within the town.

Events Co-ordinator
You will be responsible for organising a number of fundraising events throughout the year. You will need to be experienced in the organisation of events, which shall benefit all aspects of the club, liaising directly with management staff at The Venue

Commercial Officer
Responsible for the promotion and marketing of The New Saints Football Club including sponsorship and commercial activities. Working closely with local businesses, encouraging their attendance at home games.Commission on new commercial arrangements may be considered.

We also need additional matchday stewards, car park attendants, turnstile operators, programme sellers and refreshment kiosk assistants.
