SATURDAY could be the day The New Saints lay down a marker to retain their Welsh Premier title as they host current leaders Bangor City in a live TV clash at Park Hall (3.30pm). The Citizens currently hold a six-point advantage but victory for the Saints would close that to just three, and with a game in hand.
Manager Mike Davies is hoping his squad report with a clean bill of health on Saturday after 'flu hit the camp in midweek.
"It's massive for both sides," he says. "Last weekend went well for us, we beat Prestatyn while Bangor drew at Llanelli, but we now need to do the business tomorrow.
"We've still got eight games left and there are going to be a lot more stories, but this is a game we have to win."
Bangor boss Nev Powell says his side will have no fear: "Drawing against Llanelli makes this game massive, but we've already got a result there once this season and we'll go there positive.
"We are six points clear and there are 11 other clubs in this league who would swap places with us right now."
