Saints again celebrate double licensing success
Monday 04 April 2011
THE New Saints have again been successful in their bid for the FAW domestic licence, ensuring that Welsh Premier football will remain at Park Hall next season.
The club has also gained the Uefa licence once again, ensuring that Oswestry can stage a European tie for the third year running.
It is the seventh consecutive year that the Saints have gained a licence to play in Europe and both achievements are a tribute to the work of general manager Ian Williams, who is probably the most experienced administrator in the league when it comes to the licensing process.
"I am delighted with the achievement and would like to express our thanks to Andrew Howard and David Miller at the FAW for their unstinting help," says Williams.
Clubs are assessed on their stadium, youth development, personnel, administration, legal, finances and charters.
