Former Saints' defender joins the Bucks

Rob WilliamsFORMER Saints' defender Robbie Williams has marked new club AFC Telford United as a side to make a real impact in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
The defender has signed from Altrincham as the Bucks, reformed seven years ago, prepare for their first first season in the top flight of non-League football.
"There'll be big crowds at every game, and the euphoria round the club will make a real buzz," he said.
"They had a great defensive record last season, they can score goals, and I know they can handle the Conference."
Williams was also sold on the club by the Telford manager Andy Sinton.
"Andy was great," Williams told BBC Radio Shropshire after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
"He told me he was looking for some with a bit of experience in the Conference. I've done that with 100-odd games for Altrincham, and he wants me to pass on my experiences to the others players.
"But he also stressed how we will all work together, how he does his best to get players to improve, and that's good for me too."
Telford passed relegated Altrincham on the way up, but the Welsh U23 international added that - being out of contract - he would have made the move to Telford even if his former side had avoided the drop.
He also revealed how he had followed Telford's progress, having lived fairly locally in his formative years with Shropshire-based The New Saints.
"The New Saints gave me a great grounding - fulltime in the Welsh Premier League, training every day training, it gave me as a young player the chance to practice all your skills and all the technical aspects of the game.
"TNS played good football, liked to have it on the deck, and being a big defender (six foot five) that's the sort of stuff I needed to improve on rather than just the heading and kicking.
"I lived in Oswestry for four or five years from when I was 17 - it was a good grounding at TNS.
"It provided a good experience for me to improve in - and so will Telford.
"I can't wait to get started."
