YOUNG Saints' keeper Alex Ramsey was a hit at Caersws last season and has been rewarded with a pro contract and a place in the Europa League squad.The 17-year-old, who is a member of the TNS Scholarship Scheme, was loaned to the Huws Gray Alliance Bluebirds and not only impressed Caersws boss Mickey Evans, but also picked-up two awards - players' player of the season and young player of the season.
"He has been terrific for us and has a big future in the game," said Evans.
Alex has now been awarded a pro contract with the Saints and included in the 20-man squad for the Europa League ties with Cliftonville as understudy to Paul Harrison.
