Luton boss Brabs expects strong Sunday test
Sunday 17 July 2011
FORMER Saints player and assistant boss Gary Brabin is expecting a tough test for his Luton Town side when he returns to Park Hall today (Sunday)."That really will be a tough game," he said. "They’ve just qualified for the second round in Europe and that was a big achievement for them.
"They are a very good footballing side so I thought it would be a fantastic test for us.
"They are a club that I have a good relationship with, they try to play football in the right way. They’ll be in peak condition because they’ve had friendlies and three or four competitive matches in Europe."
But, with the club set to fly out to Denmark on Tuesday for the second leg of the Europa League tie with FC Midtjylland, management duo Mike Davies and Carl Darlington are likely to rest key players from today's clash with the Hatters and hand further opportunities to the younger players who featured in Monday night's Shropshire Senior Cup win over Shrewsbury Town.
Kick-off is at 3.00pm.
