BROTHERS Mike and Jamie Davies go head to head as the Saints return to Treflan on Friday night to face Llansantffraid Village.TNS director of football Mike will be up against Village boss Jamie, who took the reins this summer after guiding Llanrhaeadr YM to the Spar Mid Wales League title.
It will be only the second meeting between the clubs since the Saints left Treflan for Park Hall in 2007 to meet the Welsh Premier's stricter licensing criteria.
In an annual contest in memory of late club chairman Edgar Jones, the sides drew 1-1 two years ago, but TNS were unable to fulful the fixture last year due to their European commitments, which stretched into late August.
Mike Davies will take a strong side to Treflan including several players who featured when the club were still playing in the village, while the remainder of the squad will play in a behind-closed-doors affair elsewhere to gain more game time ahead of the new campaign.
Kick-off is at 7.30pm.
