Greg to perform re-opening ceremony for Wilkinsons

Llanelli v TNS

GREG Draper, The New Saints and New Zealand international striker, will re-open Oswestry's refurbished Wilkinsons store.

The store, which is situated on New Street, Oswestry, will be closed on Tuesday 27th September to undergo a makeover.

It will re-open at 9am on Wednesday 28th September, with a ribbon cutting ceremony performed by Greg Draper, who will be signing autographs alongside the club’s mascot Spot the Dog.

In keeping with Wilkinsons’ commitment to supporting local communities, store manager, Duncan Tipton will present representatives from Hope Hospice, which is situated on Nant Lane, Morda, with a £500 cheque donation to go towards the vital services it provides for terminally ill children, young people and their families.

To raise money for Age UK, Wilkinsons’ charity of the year, staff members will be hosting a raffle throughout the day, where a jam packed hamper full of toys from the ‘New Toys’ range, including a musical camera, ‘Dino-Hunter’ board game and ‘My Little Pet,’ will be up for grabs.

The New Saints FC will also be giving away FREE tickets for their forthcoming Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League game against Aberystwyth Town on Saturday 1st October at Park Hall, Oswestry.

Celebrations will continue on Saturday 1st October, when a magician will be in store from 11am – 3pm to entertain shoppers with magic tricks - a face painter will also transform young shoppers into a variety of colourful creatures.
