DEFENDER Connell Rawlinson has received the perfect birthday gift after being named in the Wales Under-23 semi-professional squad to face Estonia next month.
Connell, who turns 20 today, receives his first call to international duty, along with experienced international team-mates Alex Darlington and Aeron Edwards.
The 6' 3" tall defender has represented Flintshire Schoolboys and joined TNS from Chester City over a year ago, since making 10 full Welsh Premier appearances.
Meanwhile, recent signing Tom Roberts, who has impressed since deputising for Chris Marriott in the first team, has been named on the stand-by list by manager Terry Boyle, who includes five of his own Neath players among a dozen Welsh Premier starlets in the squad.
Wales play Estonia in Tallinn's National Stadium on Wednesday October 5.
