Maes Tegid holds no fears for Saints
Thursday 13 October 2011
THE New Saints' chief Mike Davies insists his side have no fears about Friday night's trip to face Bala Town at Maes Tegid.
Davies has seen his side recover from a poor start to the season, which began with an opening night 1-1 draw with the Lakesiders, to go a point clear at the top of the table.
"By our own standards we had a ropey start to this campaign, but we are on a run at the moment and we will look to carry that on at Bala," said Davies.
"They are a good side and very capable, but if we continue to work hard and play as we have been I am confident we can get a positive result."
Chris Marriott has returned to fitness at a timely moment with Tom Roberts picking-up and ankle injury in the 4-0 win over Carmarthen Town.
Winger Chris Williams has also returned to training following an injury plagued start to his career at Park Hall.
Bala ended a three-game losing streak with a 1-0 win at Afan Lido last weekend, a game missed by striker Lee Hunt, who is the main injury doubt for the hosts.
