Horror show. Had what looked like a perfectly good goal by Seargeant ruled out by a linesman seemingly working to the old offside law. Unfair to blame Evans' mistake on losing the game, the management team need to take a lot of responsibility for the starting eleven they put out - Seargeant had a blinder on Saturday in the centre of midfield, then starts on the left wing! Edwards who has been poor for 6 or 7 games keeps his place, has another shocker and gets booked again, and Abbott starts the game when you have Wood, Berkeley, Sharp, Darlington and my gran who should be in the team before him.

I have to agree bystander, wrong team selection. Team should have been. PH, DH, SE, PB, CM. CJ, CS, SR, BH, CSHARP, CW. Connahs Quay are a dreadful team, but fair dos to them they won most of the headers and tackles all over the pitch. Seargeant is wasted out on the left wing, definitely should be playing in the centre. 3 massive points lost tonight. We have to rely on a few upsets over the weekend. This result could be very damaging. Hope In wrong and its only a blip.

More muppet officials costing us points then - shades of Jimmy Aggrey at Caersws some years ago.
Bl00dy good job I wasn't there, it isn't easy at Deeside to get near enough to the linos to "have a word" but I've done it in the past (as Mr Bean would testify) and would have done so again.
But you guys are right about team selection, Abbott isn't the answer, hasn't been all season, so what on earth Sharpy or Darlo were doing on the bench is beyond me.
I'm also concerned to hear that Edwards has gone off the boil. We have a manager who is qualified in Psychology. If Aeron has started to believe he's better than he is, he wants bringing back down to earth.
We should be good enough and have a strong enough squad to win this league without relying on others' slip-ups. And Llanelli don't slip up against wee teams, do they?

Have looked at the TV footage a number of times and still can't see how Seargeant's goal was disallowed. Apart from the fact that Abbott and Jones weren't 'active', Abbott was onside when the shot was hit, and Jones runs in from way behind Abbott so was very unlikely to have been offside even in the old-fashioned version of the law.
Goal or not, the way Seargeant killed the ball as it came past the full back was a thing of pure beauty.
