One of Wales' oldest clubs, Newtown became founder members of the LoW and have been ever-present since.
During this time the club has finished runners-up in the league and played European ties against teams from Latvia and Poland.
But Newtown's on-field prowess has generally failed to match the off-field ambitions of the management.
With the appointment of new manager, Roger Preece, the Robins are looking for improved results in 2003/4.
Picturesque, compact and atmospheric, Latham Park is by far the best Welsh Premier ground in mid-Wales and is used as a venue for European games by TNS, among others.
