CRUEL FOR CAERSWS
Caersws were cruelly denied a place in the last four as Swansea kept this tie
alive with a Karl Connolly header two minutes into stoppage time, after the
Bluebirds had twice led through Graham Evans and Chris Venables. The Swans'
superior fitness told in extra-time with goals from Andy Robinson and Kevin
Nugent.

CARDIFF GO THROUGH
Substitute Stuart Fleetwood scored within a minute of coming off the
bench to send Cardiff City into the semi-finals. He sprinted onto Parkins' threaded
through ball to fire home into the far corner. After Jamie Moralee had limped
off in the first half, Newport had strong penalty claims, but Cardiff dominated
the second half to go through on merit. Match reportCardiff's Gavin Gordon keeps Newport's Scott Morgan at bay [BBC]. |

HANDY ANDY
Wrexham keeper Andy Dibble was centre stage with two superb second half
saves from Wilde and Evans. There was doubt whether the ball crossed the line
during a double take from Evans and Holmes, but Wrexham sealed it with Hector
Sam's first-half header and a late 20-yarder from Steve Roberts. Wrexham's Chris Llewellyn battles with Chris Taylor of TNS [Keith Williams/Sportpixs]. Match report |

BARRY BATTERED
Rhyl battered Barry 8-0 at Belle Vue, although it was the Dragons who
started the better and they almost took a shock lead through Adam Shakespeare's
header, which was cleared off the line by Timmy Edwards. Andy Moran with a hat-trick
led the way for the Lilywhites and Marc Limbert weighed in with a superb individual
effort. Marc Limbert takes on Barry at Belle Vue. Match report |
