Saints to begin cup defence at Bridgnorth

THE New Saints' defence of the Shropshire Senior Cup will begin at the Crown Meadow, home of Midlands Alliance outfit Bridgnorth Town, on Tuesday 10 July (19.45).

TNS lifted the cup last season after a semi-final win over Shrewsbury Town and a penalty shoot-out victory in the final against AFC Telford United at the New Bucks Head.
The Bucks, where former TNS director of football Mike Davies is now assistant manager to Andy Sinton, have been drawn at Market Drayton Town in the first round (Saturday 14 July).
They would be the Saints' opponents in the play-off final which has a proposed date of Saturday 21 July if TNS can win at Bridgnorth.
The winners of the play-off will then face the Shrews in the final proper with date and venue to be confirmed.
