Cale proud of Saints' comeback

HEAD coach Andy Cale praised his players for fighting back from a two-goal deficit to force a draw with title contenders Neath.

Two defensive errors allowed the Eagles to forge two goals in front inside the first 16 minutes through Richard Ingram and Craig Steins.
But the Saints were level by the half-hour hour after another blooper allowed Matthew Berkeley to pull a goal back, before Jamie Wood lobbed keeper Anthony Williams from the edge of the box.
"Two-nil down after however many minutes, to come back and dominate the first-half the way we did and get back into the game, I only thought there was ever going to be us that was going to win it," said Cale.
"They almost caught us on the break in fairness, but I was proud of the way we played."
Neath boss Andy Dyer underlined the difficulty for visiting sides to win at Park Hall.
"The problem is, when you come to TNS, they are always capable of scoring goals," he said.
"Even at 2-0 they pulled it back to 2-2 and they've done it quite comfortably against us."
