Saints bid for more League Cup glory

THE New Saints continue their defence of the Loosemores League Cup when they host Llanelli at Park Hall on Tuesday night.

The Reds arrive on the back of a 12-goal haul from their last two games, a 4-0 win over Elements Cefn Druids followed by an 8-1 mauling of Aberystwyth Town in the final League Cup group game.
That victory came at the expense of a seriously-weakened Seasiders' outfit, with Craig Moses notching four of the Reds' goals.
In contract, TNS have found goals difficult to come by in recent games and have surrendered six points from their three most-recent home Welsh Premier fixtures.
But the last League Cup tie at Park Hall saw the Saints hit five past Bangor City and management duo Andy Cale and Mike Davies will be hoping for more of the same tonight.
After picking-up a knock in training last week, Chris Seargeant missed the 2-2 weekend draw with Neath, while Alex Darlington remains a concern with his pre-season foot injury.
Ryan Marriott is also likely to be ruled out with ligament damage sustained in the friendly at Wrexham last week.
