Prestatyn boss tips Saints for title

PRESTATYN Town boss Neil Gibson was disappointed not to gain a point from Friday night's clash at Bastion Road.

But the Seasiders' player-manager tipped The New Saints for the Welsh Premier title after watching his side go down to a late Steve Evans goal.
"I was really pleased with the performance, the lads were excellent and I was really disappointed for them that we didn’t hold on for a draw," he said.
"TNS are a very good side who I think are going to win the league, but for the effort and attitude we showed we deserved at least a point."
Although the Saints had the majority of the chances in the game, Gibson pointed out the Seasiders did have their moments.
"We should have had a penalty when Ian Griffiths' shot was blocked by a TNS hand and Andy Moran had a good shot tipped over by their keeper, so we did have a couple of decent opportunities," he added.
With the whole of Saturday's programme wiped-out by frozen pitches, the Saints head the table by two points going into the festive derbies.
They head for Welshpool Town's Maesydre on Boxing Day, with the return at Park Hall on New Year's Day, both with 2.30pm kick-offs.
